The Manège Presents - Pony con

Pony Tromper (he/him) is a cisqueer, enthusiastic ponyboy and community-oriented educator and kinkster who has been active in the leather and pony play scenes for nearly 28 years.  Tromper is deeply honored to serve as the North American Pony '20-'22 Leather title holder, alongside his Handler Domina Jenn, and assisted by his submissive, Lark.  Tromper enjoys traveling to leather and kink events and enthusing about pony play given the slightest provocation.

Tromper hails from the @rockymntponies and is honorary "horse dad" to many, having inspired so many ponies and handlers alike in their journeys.

Ann, known throughout the BDSM Community as subMissAnn, has been a long standing member for over 25 years. She became interested in Pony Play in 2006. Exploring Pony Play led her to Pony Mistress Rebecca Wilcox, with whom she shares the North American Pony/Trainer 2009 Leather Title. SubMissAnn formed the Los Angeles Pony and Critter Club in December of 2009, is the producer of the North American Pony/Trainer Contest and EQUUS International Pony Play Event . She is a published contributor to the Equus Eroticus Magazine and the author of “Pony Play with subMissAnn."

An avid horsewoman, Liza had no name for the pony play she experienced at her all-girls summer camps.  From there, Liza jumped into leather in San Francisco in 2002 and currently lives in Portland with her slave and 2 bio-pups.  She's a member of

Portland Bad Girls, the Exiles LTHR (Long Term Hierarchical Relationships) discussion group, and the PDX HERD.  She produces the Master slave Retreat and is emeritus producer of the Ms. San Francisco Leather contest.  International Master 2011 (and 2021), Liza teaches extensively on hierarchical relationships, kink and pony play.  She has judged numerous contests (including North American Pony Trainer Contests), and has been honored with MAST International’s 2012 Presenter of the Year (with her slave), San Francisco Bay Area Leather Alliance Woman of the Year 2009, and Spirit of the Bear 2011 from the Bears of San Francisco.  Liza is the proud owner/trainer of the handsome stallion, Ferdinand (her slave, Jody's alter ego.)

Ferdinand, a big black Percheron stallion, was sired in April 2011 at Beyond Leather by pony Sweet Cheeks, where Ferd's human alter-ego, Jody, was judging the International Pony Trainer Competition. His first pony parade was in April 2012 and since he has befriended littles at IMsL and WILL, competed at Equus IPPE for several years running and participated in pony and pet parades across the US. His dressage debut was at Equus in 2015 to the Overture of 1812, and has since performed several free-style dressage routines, winning a blue ribbon for his performance to the Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy in 2018. Ferd's alter-ego, Jody, is a horsewoman in her own right, having ridden since the age of 10. Jody has been a leatherwoman for 45 years, serving as International slave 2011 (and 2021). When not horsing around, Ferd/Jody enjoys teaching, judging, working on events, and working on Ferd's gear.

Levi, also known in harness as Leviticvs, is both a pony and handler whose approach to pony play is rooted in curiosity, intentionality, and a love of the craft itself. 

As a pony, Leviticvs is drawn to the embodiment and transformation of becoming something distinctly rooted in the fundamentals horsemanship. 

As a handler, Levi brings that same curiosity to training, with an emphasis on patience, strong foundations, and understanding why each element of training works rather than simply pursuing the finished picture.

Their experimental training program LE has further shaped a philosophy of building a pony from the ground up: developing movement, communication, conditioning, trust, and presentation piece by piece before adding complexity. 

Levi hopes to continue developing that approach into an accessible training curriculum that helps newcomers enter pony play without feeling they need to already know how to be a pony.

Princess (it/its) is a queer, femme, disabled, Black, TNG leathergirl hailing from legendary Windy City. Since first stepping into the community in 2021, it has built a robust record of service as a presenter, panelist, organizer, facilitator, demo bottom, and community servant. It's resume includes contributing to LA&M as an archivist/independent scholar, being the first educator to present on ponyplay at the International Puppy & Trainer Contest, serving on the IMLBB production team, co-founding Midwest Equine Alliance, and much more! Smurph (He/They) and haifisch (she/her) are a couple of quirky, Midwest Queers living and loving in Cincinnati, Ohio. They have been in an Owner/property power exchange relationship since 2023 and enjoy a variety of dynamics - most publicly as Wrangler and unicorn. 

Smurph can be found making Dad jokes with an iced coffee in hand, a whip on his hip, and getting into shenanigans. Piper Pony is a Highland pony with a mane that is proudly turning gray. She has been involved in ponyplay for nearly 30 years and likely has been a pony for much longer than that. She has been awarded numerous ribbons since winning “Best in Show” at the first Erotic Thoroughbreds and at BR ‘99.  Piper enjoys helping new ponies get started and has a cis Percheron (aka a big beautiful draft horse) of her own.  Piper was featured on HBO’s Real Sex when she was younger and was included in the fetish book, Deviant Desires. She has presented at The Floating World and Brimstone and was a member of the Camp Crucible staff for many years.  Piper can still always be found at Camp Crucible and CrucibleCon whether teaching or as just part of the herd.

Freyja (she/her as a pony, outside anything works) is a dapple grey Icelandic pony who really enjoys pulling heavy things and causing minor mischief.  She has been a longtime member of the Crucible community, including as staff and instructor for classes at both Camp Crucible and CrucibleCon, and is one of the hosts of the monthly pony herd meetup at the Crucible.  She is also the 2026 North American Pony leather title holder.

A fiery redhead and an energetic, mischievous equine, Pony Girl Ginger is a certified and ribboned stubborn pony. In BDSM for 20 years Ginger- also known as slave Lexi- is active in the Leather, M/s, and kink circles. A strategic Director in tech by day, she is the webslave and archivist for The Leather Quilt and My Leather Life, has been a leather title contest judge, and can be found facilitating pet play mixers at conventions in addition to teaching nationwide in-person and virtually. Ray Nelson, LPC, is a covered Master, sex therapist and trauma specialist based in Portland, Oregon. He is the coordinator for the Leather Quilt and deeply engaged in preserving our leather history. Master Ray brings over a decade in private practice and two decades of lived experience in authority differential relationships, focused on helping people explore power, healing, and intimacy with greater emotional depth and clarity. He is the 2026 Washington State Master. Master Ray lives in WA state with his pony/slave Lexi and their gremlin cat, Mr Waffles. After a few years of moderating for PONY CON and The Manège events, Master Ray stepped up to further help Ginger in producing PONY CON in 2026.
